The performance of aviation maintenance and inspection personnel is directly related to the design of their tasks, the training given to the dedicated staffs, the tools they work with, and the nature of their work environment. The goal of the aviation maintenance system is to ensure the continued safe and efficient operation of aircraft. Toward that goal the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia and other National Aviation Authority instituted the Human Factors and Safety Management System in Aviation Maintenance System to focus on a variety of human factors aspects associated with the aviation maintenance activity and other personnel supporting the maintenance system goals.
